Two thirds of all Federal statute cases disposed of in provincial court in Alberta reached a final disposition within sixteen weeks, with only 6% of cases taking more than 1 year to reach a final disposition 10% of violent cases were disposed of within four weeks compared to 15.6% of property offences and 10.7% of Criminal Code traffic offences. In contrast, within sixteen weeks, just over one third of violent cases and one quarter of property and traffic offences were disposed of. |
