Types of Deaths Investigated and Certified

Undetermined Manner of Death

The undetermined manner of death is used for cases in which an investigation is unable to establish whether the death was a homicide, suicide, or accident, even though the actual cause of death may be known. In some cases, both the cause of death and the manner of death cannot be determined.
