Victims
Are there time deadlines?Yes. You have two years from the date of the accident to sue everyone who might be liable for your accident.
If you are the victim of a hit-and-run driver who cannot be identified, you must give MVAC notice within 90 calendar days of the accident, and then sue the administrator of the Motor Vehicle Accident Claims Act within two years of the accident if you are unable to locate the owner/operator of the other vehicle.
There may be certain exceptions to these timelines.
