What if the employee is no longer employed by the company?Employers are to notify the Maintenance Enforcement Program (MEP) in writing by fax, e-mail or mail that the employee has left the company. Employers must also keep the Support Deduction Notice on file as it remains in effect for twelve years from the date of issue. If the employee returns to work within the twelve-year period, the wages must still be sent to MEP unless MEP advises you to terminate the Support Deduction Notice.
