Info Sheet - If You Have a Compliment or Complaint

Client satisfaction is important to the Maintenance Enforcement Program (MEP). We try to make sure clients have the chance to tell us about quality service they receive and get the help they need to address concerns. Your feedback helps us improve our service and make changes that better meet your needs.

Compliments

You may tell us about your compliment:
  • in person,
  • by phone at 780-422-5555*,
  • through MEP Accounts Online if you have a MEP account,
  • by e-mail at albertamep@gov.ab.ca if you don’t have a MEP account , or
  • in writing to the address or fax number listed below.

If you know the name of the staff member who helped you, please tell us so their good work can be recognized.

Complaints

To make sure you get a timely response to your concerns, follow the steps of our Complaint Review Process:

Step 1:

Speak to the MEP staff involved and they will try to resolve the matter with you.

Step 2:

If your concern cannot be dealt with satisfactorily by a MEP staff person, ask to speak to that person’s manager.

Step 3:

If your concerns are still not resolved after taking steps 1 and 2, you can send them in writing to MEP’s Executive Director for review by fax at 780-401-7515* or by mail to:

MEP receives a large volume of mail each month. Please make sure you clearly mark your letter with "Complaint Review Process" so it is properly directed.

Creditor Registration Package

Information regarding the involved parties (creditor and debtor) is provided by the creditor to MEP to enable registration.

Debtor Registration Package

Debtors may also register with MEP. These forms provide information required from debtors in order to complete their registration with MEP.
