The Alberta Law Society Libraries web site provides location information, hours of service and searchable access to law library collections serving the legal community and the public across Alberta. An extensive legal links section is also available.
The Alberta Law Society Libraries system is comprised of a network of eleven libraries located in courthouses in Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge, Red Deer, Drumheller, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Medicine Hat, Peace River, St. Paul and Wetaskiwin. The libraries' mission is to provide legal research and information services to the legal community and the general public in Alberta. The libraries are managed by the Joint Library Committee of the Law Society of Alberta and Alberta Justice with funding provided by Alberta Justice, the Law Society of Alberta and the Alberta Law Foundation.
Alberta Justice also funds and operates 13 Legal Reference Libraries in the Provincial Courthouses in Banff, Camrose, Canmore, Edson, Fort Saskatchewan, High Level, High Prairie, Hinton, Leduc, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Stony Plain and Vermilion. These libraries provide legal information services to the legal profession, court officers and the general public in those locations.
