The week’s co-sponsor, The Alberta Community Crime Prevention Association, held another successful conference.

Alberta Solicitor General Heather Forsyth attended the Alberta Association of School Resource Officers’ (AASRO) conference and the Calgary Block Watch launch of a new crime prevention program for Calgary’s multicultural communities.

“Your presence at this conference shows your commitment to making our schools and our communities safer places to live and learn,” Forsyth said to those attending the AASRO conference May 14.

The minister also toured an award winning downtown Edmonton underground parking lot that utilizes features of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design.
