Maintenance Enforcement
Program seeks the best through leadership
Acting on
its adopted internal motto, Seeking the Best in One Another, the Maintenance Enforcement Program is implementing a
training and development strategy to ensure that all current and potential
leaders share a common understanding of leadership principles and processes.
The training
program focuses on five basic principles of human interaction:
-
focus on the situation, issue or behavior, not on the person
- maintain the self-confidence and self-esteem of others
- maintain constructive relationships
- take the initiative to make things better
- lead by example.
The significance
of the training to the MEP workplace was underscored by a graduation exercise for the
first participants, held at the Staff College on April 17
in conjunction with the annual Leaders Retreat.
The same
training will be provided to other MEP staff this fall.
