Crown prosecutor remembered with second annual golf tournament

The 2002 Jerry P. Selinger Invitational Golf Tournament will take place on June 17, 2002 at the Pinebrook Golf and Country Club in Calgary.

Jerry Selinger, Q.C., Calgary's former Chief Crown Prosecutor, died in May 2000 of complications arising from primary pulmonary hypertension, a rare lung and heart disorder that affects children and adults.

Proceeds from the tournament will be split between the HomeFront Jerry P. Selinger Memorial Fund to assist victims of domestic violence and the Peter Lougheed Centre Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic Greatest Needs Fund. Last year's tournament raised $66,000.

Tournament registration is $200 per person (includes lunch, golf, cart and evening banquet), or $50 per person for those just attending the banquet.
